Staying Alive

By: Regina Steed

As we nestle into this winter season, bare trees, cold nights, and sometimes-unpleasant days surround us. Snow, sleet, and rain are a constant and we realize that winter is upon us. Everyone must endure this cycle of seasons as they fall on the just and unjust. Everyone has a period in their lives when things are not perfect and everything seems to go wrong at the same time. These are our winters, a time for travailing. James 1:2-3 tells us "when trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything." We are bombarded with situations and circumstances that seem too hard to bear. We feel left out, forgotten, and of no use to YAHveh. We feel that we cannot effectively minister to others. This is only a ploy used by Satan to get our mind off what we know to do. It is during this time that we must force ourselves to look up, for our redemption is near. Persecution is only preparation for a miracle. "We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed, but we don’t give up and quit. We are hunted down, but YAHveh never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going." 1 Corinthians 4:8-9.

I pray each of you as leaders begin trusting the voice of YAHveh, Who speaks through you. Remember, YAHveh does work through us as broken vessels. Bishop tells us, "We should not take what he says as a leader and make it a law." The Law has already been established. We each have the choice to recognize His voice and follow Him.

There is a wealth of knowledge taught at Victorious Living Chapel through Bishop Blanton's Hebraic Roots series. I encourage you to contact our Administration Office and order this series on CD or cassette.

May Adonai bless you and keep you. May Adonai make His face shine upon you and show you His favor. May Adonai lift up His face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26.
